A mother robin watches over her tiny blue eggs, tucked carefully into a nest of twigs and moss. Everything around her feels newly awakened, but this small moment remains protected from the rush of the world. Nestled in Spring captures the pause before everything changes: before the eggs crack open, before little wings stretch for the first time, and before the nest that held an entire world is left behind.
I love the tenderness of that in-between space. It is a painting about anticipation, protection, and the work of caring for something that is not ready to fly just yet.
