These bookmarks started in a sketchbook I keep close on the days when making art looks a little different.
 
When my body isn’t up for standing at an easel or working on a full painting, I’ll often paint from bed instead. My sketchbook becomes somewhere to play, experiment, and entertain myself while I rest. 
 
These three designs were originally painted in gouache during some of those slower days, and I loved them enough that I wanted to give them a life outside of my sketchbook.
 
Each bookmark is double-sided and fully laminated, giving it a durable, smooth finish while protecting the artwork underneath. The artwork measures approximately 2.5 × 7 in. before lamination, with the finished bookmark measuring slightly larger due to the laminated border.
